Zainab Aliyu pictured above with officials of the Nigerian Consulate in Jeddah, shortly after her release from detention in Saudi Arabia.
Zainab was arrested in Saudi Arabia in December 2018 after a banned substance, Tramadol, was found in her luggage. Investigations later showed that the substances was planted in her luggage by a drug cartel that plants hard drugs in the luggages of unsuspecting travelers.
The Federal government today secured her release.
