A yet to be identified man died while sleeping on a bench Thursday at Asim Ita street, Ikot Ansa, Calabar, Cross River State Capital.
According to an eyewitness, who spoke to CrossRiverWatch, Elizabeth Okon Attah, “he sat on the bench, then slept off and suddenly started breathing heavily, the next thing we saw was that the man had died.”
Other people at the scene confirmed that he died while sleeping and lives alone in his house.
A call was placed to the Environment Ad-hoc Committee headed by Eric Anderson, to evacuate the corpse.
